1966 Fender Jazzmaster w/ original red bodyguard by Parker.
One amazing guitar! Neck is dated March 13 1966. Everything in this guitar appears to be original including the tuners, pickguard, knobs, bridge, and bodyguard. Plenty of meat left on the frets. Trem bar is a period correct replacement. Please see pics. Body was stamped "ES". In 1966 Fender used the "ES" stamp to mark a special order or "entered special". Guitars stamped ES were in a custom color or a guitar made for the 1966 NAMM show. Since this is a sunburst that didnt come in a custom color, this one most likely was made for the 1966 NAMM show.
