The Breedlove Pursuit Exotic S Concert CE myrtlewood bass combines the versatility of an acoustic-electric concert body with myrtlewood’s otherworldly meld of rosewood bass, mahogany mids and clear maple treble, now in a sustainable EcoTonewood package. Its concert body shape is well-balanced, compact and comfortable to play, generating an articulate tonal range with an ample low end. The African mahogany neck has a C-shaped profile, whose slimmer design and satin finish enable comfortable play for any hand size. The bolt-on neck and single-action truss rod provide easy adjustment for both the play action and neck angle. The Pursuit Exotic S Concert CE bass also features EcoTonewood back and sides—a process of integrating three layers of sustainably harvested tonewoods to produce an environmentally friendly instrument with vibrant sound. Additional appointments include Fishman Presys I electronics, custom European spruce X bracing with a bridge truss, TUSQ saddle and nut, copper closed-gear tuners and an ovangkol bridge and fingerboard.
